This week's movie review was of Like Stars on Earth”. An exceptional story about a dyslexic child. It was especially interesting to hear the kids review of this, because my brother is dyslexic. When his condition was first discovered they didn't have a word for it. They wanted to institutionalize him. So this is especially personal for me. Dyslexia is a common learning difficulty that mainly causes problems with reading, writing and spelling. it’s a specific learning difficulty, which means it causes problems with certain abilities used for learning, such as reading and writing. Unlike a learning disability, intelligence isn’t affected. It’s linked to genes which is why the condition often runs in families.
