Health matters. It takes a lot more than just school to get a kid out of poverty. You need to take care of their health, well-being, food, and provide life experiences. Climb For A Child does just that. We develop passionate leaders.
My Time at Climb for a Child. While many other sponsorship programs, focus on impacting as many children as possible, Climb for a Child focuses on the individual — ensuring that each of the kids in the program realizes and reaches their full potential, whatever that might be. Many youth throughout Tanzania, have extraordinary potential, but are never able to realize it due to lack of resources and opportunities.
Movie Review: Trees of Peace. We ask would a man be able survive this? We discuss the impact of the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 during our movie review.
One of our beloved guides on Mount Kilimanjaro has lost his life and a tragic rock slide. His family is currently destitute and we are establishing the John Frank Memorial Fund to educate his kids. 100% of everything you donate will keep his kids in school. Anything you can do to help spread the word and help keep his kids in school will be greatly appreciated and felt for generations to come.
This week’s movie review was of <“ href=“https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0986264/“>Like Stars on Earth”. An exceptional story about a dyslexic child. It was especially interesting to hear the kids review of this, because my brother is dyslexic. When his condition was first discovered they didn’t have a word for it. They wanted to institutionalize him. So this is especially personal for me. He runs JD Solar Solutions, building us green future and sponsors Upendo.

Movie Review: Finding Bobby Fisher. In this movie we explore the difference between passion, natural talent, and being pushed too far. Impoverished children are often pushed just to get good grades. At Climb For A Child we need to go way beyond this in order to get the kids to become successful adults on their journey out of poverty. Movies like this give us a safe place to explore these issues.
