Bridging the Gap

The program and my sponsors do this for the simple reason that they enjoy the art of giving and believe in uplifting people in any way they can And it is at this point that I ask myself, “How can I help others?” What can I do to make a difference in the lives of others?

It has been a couple of not so normal years for all of us courtesy COVID, seems that we are finally slowly and steadily inching toward a new normal. Summer has officially ended and as we approach the festive season, I decided that my Thanksgiving is going to be early this year.

To begin with, at that age I thought to be able to help others, you must be wealthy, and the only people who require assistance are orphans. I never considered the homeless, the illiterate, the wealthy who also required assistance in other areas, drug addicts, struggling students, people suffering from mental illnesses, and a plethora of other people in need of assistance.

“Climb for a child, in addition, pays for my school fees and those of the other students because the programme is wealthy,” I reasoned, but I was mistaken. The programme and my sponsors do this for the simple reason that they enjoy the art of giving and believe in uplifting people in any way they can. And it is at this point that I ask myself, “How can I help others?” What can I do to make a difference in the lives of others? What can I do to help the community that raised me?

About Bridging the Gap Project

With all these daunting questions, I realized that I had been given an education, which no one could take away from me. And realizing that I wanted to give other people the same sense of power that I had because of the knowledge I possessed, I devised the concept of “Bridging the Gap.”
