Climb for a Child is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing impoverished kids into educated, productive adults. We go far beyond basic education. We develop the skills and experiences to build community leaders and entrepreneurs.
Always in our minds, forever in our hearts.
On March 10th, 2022, we lost a very special member of our community, John Frank. Frank lost his life in a tragic rock slide while guiding on Mt Kilimanjaro.
Now it’s our turn to keep his dreams alive
Frank has helped hundreds of climbers reach the summit, including several of our sponsors and all of our kids. While helping others reach their dreams, Frank’s hope was to simply support his family and give back to his community. He has helped climbers enroll 4 girls in our program, Neema, Abigael, Careen and our newest student Grace. With his efforts, they have a bright future.
He never left anyone behind.
Frank is survived by his four children Japhet, 19, John, 11, Elipida, 6, and Andrew, 2 along with his wife, Clara.
Eliya, our climb for a child entrepreneur, an adventure photographer and web designer, is helping Clara develop a sustainable future to keep her solvent. The accident has left his family desperate.
