How Reading Changed My Life

Daniel his mother and his village home

A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. I did not know the meaning of this phrase until 2018 when I started my high school journey. In 2017, I couldn’t make a single sentence in English, nor could I speak a word. Not because I didn’t want to, but because I couldn’t do it. This is where my journey started.

Climbing with Grace

Helping others makes me feel a sense of responsibility and makes me feel more confident.

Grace Kitashu – A new student

Grace Kitashu
Welcome Grace our newest student. A very hard working young lady that we are proud to welcome to the Climb for a Child family.

Bridging the Gap

The program and my sponsors do this for the simple reason that they enjoy the art of giving and believe in uplifting people in any way they can And it is at this point that I ask myself, “How can I help others?” What can I do to make a difference in the lives of others?

Finding My Passion – Helping Others

Glory
Isn’t it funny how I’ve spent the last few years trying to figure out what I’m passionate about? I’ve been telling myself for a long time that I don’t have a passion, but all I’ve been doing is ignoring it.

Glory’s work experience

Glory learning to ride
Glory has been with Climb for a Child since 2012. She is the daughter of our guide. Her parents could not afford to put her in great school or give her the life experiences she so richly deserved. Climb for a Child fixed that.

She is now enrolled in NuMed in Malaysia as a bio-medical student. One of three students accepted from the entire African content.

See what she says about her work experience.
