Program Notes
When the kids said a man couldn't do this. I asked what if it were me? Neema said only with our relationship, everyone else said no. They are probably right. Next week the kids will be putting together a history of Africa from their perspective.

Rwanda was a devastated nation when the genocide was finally put an
end to in July 1994. Many of the remaining Tutsis had lost their families,
the country's basic infrastructure had been destroved, and millions of
people had been forced to flee. The effects of sexual assault and rape
were felt by many women.
Currently, in Rwanda, the Hutus make up 85% of the population,
followed by the Tutsis at 14%.

The lesson I took away from the movie is that you should always
persevere and cooperate with others because that is exactly what
happened in the story.
